Quilts for men?

Finding wonderful floral or delicate feminine fabrics is very easy. Bright colourful designs or themed designs and Children's fabric is also relatively easy. Finding more masculine fabrics is not always so easy.

I hunted for some 'masculine' fabrics to make a sampler quilt for my son but did not have much luck. In the end I made him quilt in black and white fabrics which featured skulls as this was the most 'masculine' I could find.

When he started Uni I wanted him to take

a quilt with him so I set about making one that would look good in his new room and would appeal many people irrespective of their gender.

The fabrics were a real find. Greys, muted blues and only a few flowers, I was really pleased.

The result ...a lovely quilt featuring the

'3 Dudes Quilt' with a Dresden plate centre. Which my son was very pleased to take to Uni.
